Letter 11

Hi folks,

After considerable discussion at our Kirk Session meeting last Wednesday we decided not to open for public worship on Sunday mornings just yet.  Currently there are too many restrictions and concerns to make anything resembling worship viable. However, things are definitely changing, albeit slowly, and we hope it won’t be too long before we will be back worshipping in the Church.  As part of the preparations for that we realise we will need a few extra people to help on Sunday mornings.  Could you offer to help? Maybe some of our younger members would like to help too? For further information please speak to your Elder, or the Session Clerk, or myself.

Until then, I’m happy to say that we will open again on Fridays for Private Prayer from 11am – 12noon beginning on Friday 23rd April. You can come and go as you please and Catherine will be there to play the organ, so that’s more good news.  The Private Prayer will continue until we open on Sundays and maybe afterwards as well if that’s what you want!

Please note that our recorded services will still be available on our website at jhpchurch.org or through our FaceBook page.  Our Foodbank is still available on Fridays from 12 noon to 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, keep safe, keep praying, and keep the faith.

God bless,

Ann
