Letter 18

Hi folks

It’s been good to get back to Church!  Over 50 people have been at worship every single week since we re-opened in May and there were over 100 in attendance at the Baptism last month. Fortunately the Church is big enough to accommodate these numbers whilst still adhering strictly to all the rules.  There’s room for some more if you can manage!  I appreciate that some of our congregation simply cannot attend at present, but I would encourage everyone who can to make the effort. It’s a blessing even to be in God’s Church, and it’s important that we keep worshipping together.

If you wish to book please contact Ann MacMillan by phone: 07847 312896 or by email jhpchurch@yahoo.co.uk . Anyone attending on a Sunday can rebook at that point for the following Sunday.

If you haven’t booked up, but find yourself suddenly able to attend on a Sunday morning, then please just turn up. We will be able to accommodate you.

For those who support our Foodbank, would you please consider donating Pasta and jars of Pasta Sauce, Kitchen Roll, Toilet Roll and various toiletries? These are the most popular items but anything given will be very welcome.

Rev Esther Ninian will conduct the service on Sundays 18 July, 1& 8 August.  Mr. William McCulloch, a Candidate for the Ministry, will conduct the service on Sunday 25th July, while Esther is on holiday.  Our Friday recordings will be done by Sandra Crichton and Christine Johnstone. Pastoral cover will be given by Rev Gray Fletcher.

I’m sure you will have worked out that I am having a holiday. I’m not going anywhere exotic, probably Inverness and Arbroath for a few days!   Then my nephew and his family are coming down from Skye. I love having them, and I love having all the visitors who come to visit them. A busy, busy time, but it’s so good to see everyone.

I hope you are keeping well and managing to meet up with family and friends. This pandemic has made us appreciate them all the more.

Please keep well, keep the faith, and keep supporting the church.

God bless

Ann
