Hi folks! I hope you are
all doing well.
I only have a couple of
things to write about. Firstly, I have some exciting news. A nice young man,
Shahrukh Gill, will be worshipping with us for a few months, as part of the
Discernment Process in the Church of Scotland.
Shahrukh will participate in our services and also join with our Bible
Study and Prayer Group. He is looking forward to meeting us, but because of the
restrictions he can only communicate online or by phone. He has recorded a few
words about himself which you can hear in this Sunday’s service (17/1/21)
Regarding our planned time
of prayer on Sunday 31 January, there are still some slots needing to be
filled. Our Day of Prayer will run from 8am to 8pm. What I am asking you to do
is to pray for whichever 15 minute slot you choose. You would do this from your
own home and in whatever way you please, and nobody is going to check on you! I
have given a whole page of suggestions, but these are only guidelines. Please
let me know which slot, or slots, you would like ann.mccool@ntlworld.com.
Finally, I have a request
for food for our Foodbank. It is opened every Friday from 12noon to 12.30pm. We
are in need of dried foods such as porridge, pasta, rice, and jars of cooking
sauces. If you feel able to help in this, please bring your contributions to
the Church at that time.
